This site was built
by Nature Conservation Friends in order to inform
the public of the dangers and chalanges it is exposed. The Gulf of Eilat is a region of immense natural and human
importance. The circumstances
of it genesis, and the changes it and its natural habitats - the coral
reefs, the mangroves
the northernmost in the world - overwent, make it a subject of utter scientific
interest. Add to this, its potential as economical resource for three countries
-
Israel, Jordan and Egypt, and of somewhat lesser importance Saudi Arabia,
and you will understand the importance of its conservation in the most
optimal state, against radical changes which may prove irreversal.
